As a Relief Community Teaching Facilitator, you ll play a pivotal role in supporting young people (aged 16-25) with learning difficulties and additional needs, including autism and epilepsy. Together, we ll build brighter futures by focusing on life skills, work experience, and functional learning in a supportive, community-based setting. What s it like to be part of No Limits? Hours: 9:00 am 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (with flexibility based on the learner s needs). Every day is different and fulfilling. As part of our team, you ll support learners to achieve their goals, empowering them to develop the skills they need for life and work. You ll help them gain confidence, independence, and life-changing experiences, all within a fun, inclusive, and community-focused environment. There may be the occasional staff meeting or training until 5:00 pm, but these are rare. We value your time and ensure that any changes to your schedule are discussed and agreed in advance. What will I be doing? You ll work closely with 2-3 learners a week, helping them to develop essential life skills, work experience, and functional learning. Supporting learners with their behaviour using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies. Documenting their progress through photos/videos and reports, ensuring they are on track to meet their goals. Assisting with personal care and administering medication when needed. Working in partnership with a Community Teaching Facilitator (CTF) to manage learner budgets, communicate with families, and attend regular meetings or training. What s in it for you? Training and Development: Your journey with us starts with a 2-week induction, including eLearning, policy reading, and shadowing experienced team members. During your 6-month probation, you ll receive ongoing training and regular support meetings to help you succeed. Essential training such as first aid, positive behaviour management, manual handling, and safeguarding will be provided. You ll be encouraged to continue learning through regular training sessions throughout the year to stay ahead in your role. What we need from you Perhaps you ve worked in special education, as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant. Perhaps you've been a Support Worker in the social care sector. However, experience is not essential. For us, underlying ability and attitude are just as important as background and experience. If you have not worked in the field of education before then please don t be put off. We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work. GCSEs (or equivalent) minimum C grade in English and Mathematics are a requirement for the role. Training and Development At Macintyre we fully support your training and development.
