Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic, global organisation as an Assistant Financial Controller. This role offers the chance to be a key part of the finance team, supporting the Director of Financial Operations and Control in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing compliance, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of group monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
* Oversee revenue recognition in line with accounting policies.
* Prepare year-end UK statutory accounts and support the audit process across multiple international entities.
* Ensure the integrity of financial accounts and balance sheet reconciliations within the group's accounting system (NetSuite).
* Manage UK and international tax compliance, including VAT returns and corporate tax reporting.
* Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) teams.
* Assist in monitoring, reviewing, and improving internal financial controls.
* Oversee and enhance finance systems and processes across the group.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in preparing statutory accounts.
* Solid understanding of UK corporation tax, VAT, and international tax compliance.
* Experience in a multi-country, multi-currency finance environment, desired but not essential.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial systems.
