We currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a Resources & Production Site Manager to join our team based in Okehampton. You will join us on a permanent contract and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,120 - £51,771 per annum (DOE) joining the Resources and Production Managers Progression Scheme, plus a range of excellent company benefits + rewards including company van/car. About the role: As our Resources & Production Site Manager, you will always achieve the highest quality for our customers, colleagues, the environment, and our stakeholders by putting “Quality First”. You will deliver the day-to-day supervision of all Water Treatment operational activities to ensure that all work undertaken is safe and cost-effective and that a reliable water product, compliant with quality standards, enters the water distribution network.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Ensuring health and safety policies, standards and procedures are adhered to at all times
2. Ensuring compliance with the water quality standards and supporting the achievement of required ‘Taste, Odour and Colour’ ODI performance targets
3. Liaising with the Central Energy team and Process Engineer to ensure energy efficiency and carbon reduction targets are delivered
4. Providing consistent leadership, resilience, responsibility and decision making for the team under the supervision of the DWS Resources & Production Operations Manager
5. Acting as Duty Drinking Water Services Functional Manager in accordance with rota and deputising for the Drinking Water Services Resources & Production Operations Manager as and when required
6. Maintaining and developing the competency of staff under his/her management to ensure individual, site, team and departmental targets are achieved or outperformed through promotion of a flexible, motivated, and multi-skilled workforce
7. Performing root cause analysis on all callouts to Water Treatment Works to drive process reliability and availability
What we are looking for:
Essential:
8. GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
9. Experience in the Water Treatment or other process
10. Supervisory experience and performance management skills
11. Decision Making – able to turn information in to decisions that support the delivery of the departmental business plan.
12. Full UK Drivers Licence
Desirable:
13. HNC or higher in relevant discipline
14. WAMITAB certification (or ability to achieve)
15. IOSH/NEBOSH Health & Safety Qualifications (or ability to achieve)
