Commis Chef A commis at the Alexandra is a kitchen all rounder. They'll be veg prepping, sometimes cooking on the line, cooking in our pizza kitchen (a passion for pizza would be very handy), making sandwiches, everything really. Once you show us that you have what it takes, we'll trust you with more responsibility. This is an absolute stepping stone job, throw yourself into it and if you have the talent we'll catapult you up through the ranks into becoming a proper chef. This role requires experience simply because at the Alexandra we don't cook frozen food or just bung things into microwaves, it's all proper fresh produce and it requires somebody who has at least a bit of a clue of a professional catering kitchen. We WILL train you however, we just need to ensure that you have the right attitude and are ready to work your way up. You must obviously live close enough to Wimbledon to make travelling to and from here a sensible option.
