Warehouse Operatives work in a variety of warehouse environments. Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Warehouse Operatives work in a variety of warehouse environments. Work activities include taking deliveries, checking for damaged / missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking / packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. They are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or forklift trucks. Warehouse Operatives communicate with a wide range of people and customers.
Responsibilities:
* Managing stock in and out
* Picking and packing customer orders
* Store transfers and stock control
* Ensuring that the warehouse is safe and well-stocked
* The role involves various tasks essential to maintaining efficient supply chain operations. The candidate will gain hands-on experience in inventory management, order processing, and logistics within a pharmaceutical setting
* Loading and unloading stock deliveries
* Fulfilling orders for businesses / customers in the UK and globally
* Picking, packing and dispatching
* Perform general warehouse duties
* Re-labelling and re-working products
