Position Overview
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with up to 50% teaching (non-class based).
Responsibilities
1. Promote the general educational progress and well-being of all pupils in the school.
2. Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team and support the school's aims and values.
3. Take responsibility for Assessment, Safeguarding Lead, and Pupil Premium (Training will be available). Other roles may be discussed.
4. Be an outstanding teacher and leader with a resilient character, strategic vision, and a proven track record in raising standards and curriculum management.
5. Carry out up to 50% (non-class based) teaching duties in accordance with the school's schemes of work and National Curriculum.
6. Liaise with colleagues to deliver units of work collaboratively.
7. Demonstrate good practice when working across the school.
8. Be determined to make a difference, focusing on creativity and raising standards.
9. Able to motivate and inspire colleagues through an outstanding and creative classroom style.
10. Work well in partnership with all key stakeholders including the Local Authority, BEP, Teaching School Alliance, School Governors, Parents, Pupils, and the wider community.
11. Experience in leadership, demonstrating success in appraisal, monitoring standards and practice, and implementing initiatives effectively.
