With our Client based central Lancashire we are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant. You will report to the MD of this subsidiary business which is part of a larger Group of Companies - established for over 50 years our Client has won numerous Design and Manufacturing Awards. The role of the Assistant Accountant can be taken by a Qualified by Experience of perhaps an AAT Level III or Level IV What you can expect as the Assistant Accountant; Annual Salary of £36,000 Flexible start and finish time Negotiable working days - the role can be offered over 4 or 5 days On Site Car Parking Kitchen facilities - tea / coffee etc. 20 days hols PLUS Bank Hols Pension - which can be enhanced The role of the Assistant Accountant; Will be to provide an efficient and effective Finance function across a range of Financial and Management Accounting tasks including; Work to assist the Senior Management team to prepare Budgets / Forecasts and Reforecasts Prepare Monthly Reviews across Overheads and Cash Flow Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations - using these to record Assets and Liabilities Prepare Bank Reconciliations - Sterling and Euro Calculate and Prepare VAT End to end preparation of Sales and Purchase Ledgers Strong control of Credit Control and Aged Debt Daily use of Excel and Sage Personality traits need to suit the role of Assistant Accountant role includes attention to detail / work as part of a team / be able to make your own decisions.
