The college meets the diverse needs of pupils aged aged 11-19 with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Head Teacher to join our dynamic leadership team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the school's vision, supporting staff and pupils, and driving improvements towards achieving an outstanding Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire teams to deliver exceptional educational outcomes.
Support and motivate staff and pupils through a person-centred approach.
Maintain a deep understanding of Ofsted requirements, using this expertise to support the school in moving towards an outstanding rating.
Develop creative strategies for delivering the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and ASC.
Foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
Oversee the school's compliance with the latest Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Independent School Standards.
Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports pupils with trauma, attachment issues, and associated challenging behaviours.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as an Assistant Head Teacher, ideally in a similar specialist setting.
Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and the ability to guide the school towards an outstanding rating.
Exceptional leadership and management skills with a track record of raising standards.
A commitment to working with pupils with SEMH and ASC.
A creative and flexible approach to delivering the curriculum and overcoming barriers to learning.

Skilled at motivating, driving, and supporting both staff and pupils.
Knowledgeable about the unique challenges of working with young people with SEMH, ASC, and additional needs.
