Mechanical Pre-Contracts Manager
A market leading MEP contractor business is looking to hire their next diligent mechanical pre-contracts manager to win new work from existing clients.
The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project win, incentivized by a generous bonus structure.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and managing through to pricing and project win.
2. Monitor and review Mechanical & Electrical tender documentation from sub-contractor businesses.
3. Ensure all the tenders are as robust and competitive as possible.
4. Liaise directly with clients and sub-contractors, ensuring tender stages are running efficiently.
5. Report directly to the Commercial Manager, helping coordinate tenders with internal teams.
6. Develop relationships with new and existing clients.
7. Design/Size Mechanical equipment ready for tender.
8. Maintain company standards in terms of quality.
9. Attend pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a building services environment.
2. Hold a related qualification in the building services/HVAC/M&E industry.
3. Ability to multi-task, reviewing as many project tenders as possible.
4. Knowledge of Mechanical systems design & install.
5. Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and Sub Contractor.
6. Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
7. Experience working with sub-contractors and managing accordingly to ensure maximum results.
