The Opportunity
This is a fast paced, exciting role supporting clients by producing a range of digital mapping services. Our plans are typically used to support transactions of land and property for registration in the land register, acquisition of land for road and rail schemes, infrastructure projects such as flood prevention works and identifying definitive ownership of areas of land. Communication with our customers is important as is producing high quality accurate plans services. We use ESRI GIS technology as our production system and output plans in a wide variety of soft and hard copy formats.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring reports are completed accurately, in a timely manner and targeted levels are met.
* Creating, maintaining, and updating a range of digital datasets including plotting and data entry of attribute information and metadata.
* Mapping and visualisation of spatially referenced property ownership data.
* Assisting with map publishing, document production and scanning as required.
* Processing internal requests for information, publications, mapping etc.
* Preparing site, statutory and conveyancing plans as required.
* Extracting relative information from appropriate sources (may include site visits to sites across Scotland).
* Accessing Scotlis/digital mapping systems to view plans and read title sheets.
* Dealing with telephone instructions from clients and other parties in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring that information taken is accurate.
About You:
You will have good administrative, planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload. Experience of ESRI GIS products and database use and management would be a strong advantage.
You will also have/be:
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Extensive experience of providing outstanding customer service.
* Proficient in Microsoft applications and use of internal and external databases.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly communicate actions and priorities.
* Ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with individuals and organisations (internal and external).
