We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join us on a fixed term basis up until March 2026. We've got an amazing marketing team, currently a growing team of four, and we are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to manage the team when our current Head Of is on maternity leave. What will I be doing? You will be working with the marketing team, senior management, and sales teams at SMI to deliver an effective and successful marketing plan, ensuring the values of the business are always represented and our brand is at the forefront of our industry. Duties include: Enhancing the UX of the customer, with focus on our core customer segments –- paying particular attention to improving their resources and sales tools, which enable the sales teams to take our products to market. This includes the look and feel of all customer-facing touchpoints and materials, such as proposals and customer collateral. Supporting the growth and development into new categories and markets, by launching category-specific and sector-specific campaigns to raise our profile and generate leads. Growing the brand equity of our own brand, Rokwear, thus growing demand, loyalty and market share. Discovering potential new customer markets and executing the go to market strategy. Using marketing technology to deliver effective and integrated marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for ensuring the correct messaging and positioning of the SMI Group brand (and any other brand for our business). Compiling video and photographic case studies to articulate the company’s strengths and capabilities. Exhibition and event management. Managing all marketing channels and the full marketing mix, including digital, social, website, and print. Working within a budget, in order to deliver the plan. Managing key stakeholder relationships and effectively communicating with stakeholders across the business, as well as external stakeholders such as the customer and supplier. Owning marketing KPIs, which includes responsibility for the measurement and ROI of marketing expenditure. Owning and optimising marketing supplier relationships and ensuring efficient and effective use of technological and creative resources to optimise marketing programmes. Commissioning, conducting and using customer and market insight to best inform our plans and to ensure the customer is at the heart of all we do. Monitoring and benchmarking competitor marketing initiatives. What do I need to be successful? To join SMI as an interim Marketing Manager, you will need: Strong and demonstratable experience in B2B marketing Experience in digital and print media Proven experience in a management position CIM Professional Diploma or equivalent marketing qualification, such as undergraduate degree is advantageous. Experience of using marketing technology to deliver successful marketing campaigns. Product marketing experience. Similar industry experience is an advantage. Very strong creative skills. Experience of writing and creating marketing campaigns. Ability and experience of budget management is advantageous. Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills essential.
