Support worker - full time
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals with their daily living needs while promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. The role involves providing practical and emotional support to residents or clients in a variety of settings, including residential care homes, supported living, or within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Independent Living:
* Assist individuals with daily personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, grooming) while promoting self-sufficiency.
* Encourage and support residents with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
Health & Well-being:
* Support with medication reminders and administration (if required and trained).
* Accompany individuals to medical appointments, social activities, or community events.
* Monitor and report any changes in the individual's physical or mental health to the appropriate personnel.
Emotional & Social Support:
* Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
* Encourage engagement in hobbies, activities, and social interactions to prevent loneliness and isolation.
Record-Keeping & Communication:
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
* Liaise with family members, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Skills & Experience Required:
✅ Essential:
* A caring and patient nature with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to promote independence while offering necessary support.
* Basic knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality protocols.
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required.
