Clinical Negligence Solicitor
A leading national provider of legal services to the health, social care, housing and emergency services sectors, as well as in the field of professional discipline, has a requirement for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to work in their Leeds office on a hybrid working pattern. This firm has nationwide coverage and works with NHS Resolution and other health providers across the UK.
The Role
The Clinical Law department comprises around 100 fee earners and the role will deal with clinical negligence work. The department carries out a wide range of other work, including inquests, advising on regulatory matters, public law issues, judicial reviews, mental health issues, and clinical risk management.
The Candidate
A self-motivated, ambitious, and experienced solicitor is needed to join a highly regarded and expanding clinical negligence/medical malpractice litigation team. The successful candidate will be expected to have litigation experience and be well-versed in understanding the needs of our client base, preferably gained at an NHS Resolution Panel firm, together with experience of handling and advising on cases involving complex issues and maximum severity injuries. Experience of managing claims against GPs is an advantage but not essential. The role will involve managing a caseload of claims on instructions from NHS Resolution. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with a partner who will supervise your work, and there will be opportunities for client contact and business development.
