Additional Payments: We offer a £5K market supplement which is payable to people who are up to date with their professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA).
About the Role
To be responsible for the financial management of philanthropic donations to the University, ensuring the institution meets accounting standards and legal obligations for the treatment of gifts. To ensure the institution fulfils donors' financial expectations for the use of gifts and enable the Development and Alumni Engagement team (DAE) to report on the impact of fundraising through maintaining an audit trail for the award of funds. To conduct financial planning for fundraising projects, develop targets and enable decision-making on resources required to deliver return on investment. Responsibility for management accounts and procurement matters on behalf of the Development and Alumni Engagement team.
About You
We are looking for someone who will be working with the academic departments, central finance, the Campaign Project Development Manager and fundraisers to model project costs and develop financial targets and feasibility plans for campaign and bespoke fundraising projects. Responsible for managing the administration of philanthropic income, scholarships and awards, including managing the work of the Philanthropic Gift Officer, Philanthropic Finance Executive and Philanthropic Finance Administrator. Responsibility for compliance with financial and related university regulations on behalf of the Development and Alumni Engagement team, including for donation agreements and procurement contracts. Preparing reports on income, targets and expenditure for the Campaign Leadership Group to inform departmental decision-making.
