Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant
We are looking for a secretary/legal assistant to join our very busy residential property team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative support including: file opening, document production, filing/archiving, retrieval of files, photocopying, email management, cheque requests, and dealing with post.
2. Audio typing standard and non-standard letters.
3. Producing correspondence, enclosures, forms, and documents.
4. Arranging the scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
5. Attending clients over the phone and in person to respond to enquiries.
6. Arranging meetings and other appointments, and liaising with estate agents and solicitors.
7. Gathering information and updating the case management system.
8. Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
1. Previous experience within a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant role for a property team desirable.
2. Excellent organisation capability with the ability to effectively prioritise.
3. Ability to work quickly, to deadlines and under pressure.
4. Competent with IT applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook, and experience on case management systems.
5. Excellent keyboard and word processing skills.
6. Possess high levels of speed and accuracy.
7. Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients on the telephone.
8. Demonstrate a good understanding of client relationship management.
9. A friendly approachable personality to facilitate the link between lawyers, clients and third parties.
10. Good attention to detail.
11. Professional, personal presentation.
