Job Title: Solar Farm Project Manager
Job Description:
The Solar Farm Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of solar farm projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Development:
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget.
* Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project viability.
* Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers for project design and procurement.
Execution & Implementation:
* Lead and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
* Monitor and manage project risks, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
* Ensure all safety protocols and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
* Conduct site inspections to track progress and resolve on-site challenges.
Stakeholder Coordination:
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and regulatory agencies.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution.
* Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders through regular reporting.
Budget & Resource Management:
* Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
* Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and materials.
* Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Post-Project & Operations Handover:
* Conduct final inspections, testing, and commissioning of the solar farm.
* Ensure proper documentation, including as-built drawings and compliance reports.
* Oversee the transition of the project to operations and maintenance teams.
* Conduct post-project evaluations to improve future project execution.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, construction management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy or construction sector.
* Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, permitting processes, and industry regulations.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations and best practices.
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
Work Environment & Conditions:
* Primarily based on-site with periodic office work.
* Travel to project locations as required.
* Exposure to outdoor environments and construction sites
