PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lay out, position, align and fit components together using applicable machines, tools and equipment.
* Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding.
* Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.
* Maintain sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects and allowances for thickness of metal to project location of holes, cuts, and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions and manufacturer's specifications.
* Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.
* Perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with established methods and procedures.
* Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
* Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform fit up and welding on various types of equipment per different drawings and or management instructions.
* Have Experience with Hot Wire Tig Machine/Process GTAW-P.
* Must pass welding test prior to getting hired, have personal weld and fit up tools.
* Able to maintain proper organization on documentation and work areas, follow all company policies and safety measures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 3+ years of relevant work experience.
* Must have experience with Hot Wire Auto Tig Machine/Process GTAW-P.
* Experience using a cutting torch, and plasma torch.
* Must be familiar with SMAW, SAW and GTAW welding processes, competent reading, and interpretation of fabrication blueprints.
* Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and other necessary applications.

* Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
* Must be willing to work overtime and changing work schedules based on workload.
* Must perform work tasks with safety as the highest priority, followed by quality, productivity, and expedient delivery.
* Understand and apply NOV Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
* Able to maintain proper organization on documentation and work areas, follow all company policies and safety measures.
* Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
* Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments.
* Positive attitude, Decision making, interpersonal skills, conflict management and coaching skills.
* Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes.
* Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
* Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
