As a Senior Process Engineer, you are motivated by your drive for continual improvement, and you play a key role in optimising the manufacturing process and confidently support a team of technically-minded individuals. You recognise the value of others’ experience, encourage their input and you possess the skills to effectively communicate your views and engage with others.
The Senior Process Engineer will manage the Process Engineering team day to day, guiding them to deliver efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes and to identify and contribute towards improvement plans and optimisation based projects. The Process Engineering team works within the wider Hope Operational Team, collectively working together to deliver towards the Key Performance Indicators, including Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Sustainability and Production.
To excel in this role, you must be confident in leading by example and engaging with others at all levels, working with dedication and a strong sense of personal integrity. You will have strong, demonstrable experience of:
1. Problem-solving
2. Monitoring, analysing and optimising processes
3. Evaluating equipment and technology
4. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
5. Providing technical training and support in a manufacturing environment
Key Requirements
- Degree in Chemical & Process Engineering (or related)
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)
- 5 years proven experience in cement industry or similar continual manufacturing industries
- Experience supervising technical teams
Ideal…
- Knowledge and experience of advanced process control systems and their application
- Technical understanding of pyroprocessing and combustion
- Energy management knowledge and experience (i.e. KPI monitoring and associated improvement plans/projects)
- Good knowledge of process control methods and statistical troubleshooting methods
