We are recruiting an Analytical Lead to join our fanstastic team within our Quality Control department!
The Analytical Lead is responsible for managing QC testing and monitoring activities within their designated team-covering areas such as raw materials, finished products, cleaning and process validation support, or stability. They also ensure compliance is maintained across all activities, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Responsible for providing information, advice, and data to the QC Operations Manager
* Responsible for representing the Quality Control department at meetings
* Allocation of laboratory workload to the analysts as defined by planning, production, customer, quality, or regulatory requirements
* To ensure that deadlines are met and that all products/materials/components tested meet the agreed specifications
* Build strong long-term relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure delivery of departmental objectives.
* To make technical decisions in agreement with the QC Operations Manager to ensure products/materials/ components are correctly analysed
* Maintain good knowledge of relevant governance, SOP's and ways of working
* Ensure that all activities within the department are undertaken to established standards of current GMP and GLP
Skills/Experience
* Educated to degree level
* Experience working for a GMP pharmaceutical environment
* Previous experience leading teams and/or departments within a pharmaceutical company
* High level of technical understanding across a range of Analytical Techniques
* Degree in chemistry or other relevant scientific subject
Desirable
* Previous experience in hosting MHRA and/or FDA inspections
* Previous experience of managing large scale change management programmes
* Master level qualification in a scientific subject
About you
You have solid experience in pharmaceutical quality control and a strong understanding of GMP regulations and industry standards. With a background in analytical testing, method validation, and laboratory investigations, you take a hands-on approach to ensuring product quality and compliance. You're confident in leading and supporting a team, managing workloads effectively, and driving continuous improvements within a fast-paced QC environment.
This role is on site and will be based at our Romford site.

Working hours information
* Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm, 37.5hrs per week. This is an onsite role based at our Romford site.
