Integrated Sexual Health Nurse Specialist
The West Essex Sexual Health Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated band 6 nurse, or an experienced band 5 nurse (via a development opportunity) to join their integrated sexual health team. We provide sexual health and contraception provision including LARC.
This is a substantive role for an RGN who is in receipt of a current ENB 901 or equivalent qualification. The post provides the opportunity for enhancement of clinical expertise, development of clinical management and supervision skills, and innovative practice.
The role includes the clinical supervision of Support Workers in partnership with the Integrated Sexual Health Team Lead. Capacity in the work plan is provided to allow for service development work, results management, and general administration. The applicant must have an understanding of current local and national issues in Sexual Health and Safeguarding knowledge and experience of assessment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the delivery of a high-quality service by providing evidence-based care, actively engaging with service development initiatives, and maintaining clear communication with service users, colleagues, management, and other professionals. With support from the wider clinical team, the post holder will focus on developing expert autonomous clinical practice in the delivery of integrated sexual health services including the provision of LARC. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the clinic including communication with the Navigational Hub.

Job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of sexual health and contraception including LARC. Their main responsibility will be the day-to-day running of the clinic, ensuring staff and patient safety and well-being.
The post holder will work towards Non-Medical Prescribing.
