Role Overview
The Workshop Technician is responsible for assembling and wiring high-accuracy metering systems in floor-standing cubicles and wall-mounted enclosures. Key duties include:
* Reading and following electrical wiring diagrams to ensure compliance.
* Wiring panels neatly and efficiently.
* Adhering to safety rules, method statements, and risk assessments.
* Delivering high-quality workmanship to meet business targets and customer satisfaction.
* Checking, testing, and recording results of completed work.
* Updating drawings to reflect as-built status.
* Using hand and wiring tools efficiently.
* Collaborating effectively within the workshop team and environment.
* Occasionally supporting site installation work.
Requirements
* Understanding of electrical diagrams.
* Experience wiring or as a wireman.
* Ideally experience with control panels.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organizational skills.
* Proactive team player.
