St Mary’s is a good school which is rapidly improving and we seek applications from highly motivated and inspirational leaders who are committed to ensuring every child and adult within our community has the self-belief to flourish in whatever they choose to do. Our Mission places Christ at the Centre and we expect every adult within our school to embrace, extol and model our virtues, which are Faith, Hope & Love.
To ensure we offer the best all-round provision for our pupils, we have three Senior Assistant Headteachers each with a responsibility for a Key Stage, which includes being responsible for the academic, pastoral and spiritual development of each child. We are seeking to appoint the best possible candidate who will have the greatest positive impact upon the school community. The specific Key Stage will therefore be determined after appointment; at this level we expect candidates to have the ability to lead any area of school life. This opportunity will provide excellent experience for those seeking future headship positions.
The successful candidate will actively support our ethos and bring professionalism and academic credibility, balanced with warmth and sensitivity. We welcome discussions with the Headteacher before the closing date and a visit to the school. These visits, and any requests for further information, can be arranged through Tricia Foster, HR Manager, via email: t.foster@st-maryshigh.wigan.sch.uk
