Location: Local library or learner’s home (TBC) Hours: 6 hours per week Rate: £35 per hour (self-employed) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Ongoing Job Overview Education Boutique is seeking an experienced SEN tutor to provide in-person academic support to a Year 9 learner who is currently disengaged from education. Tuition will take place within the local community at the library or at home to encourage re-engagement in learning. The ideal tutor will have strong experience supporting learners with PDA, EBSA, ADHD, and ASD and be confident in working with individuals who have a strong aversion to education, strong opinions, and dysregulated behaviour/reactions. The focus will be on academic engagement, with core subjects being covered. Tuition Schedule (Flexible within these hours) Monday - Friday (Between 9 AM - 3 PM) 6 hours per week (Potential to increase if a strong rapport is established) Learner Profile Currently not engaging with school, requiring alternative educational support in a more flexible environment. Ability and working knowledge not yet confirmed, requiring an adaptive approach to learning. Requires patience, adaptability, and a good sense of humour to foster engagement. Tutor Requirements Experience supporting learners with PDA, EBSA, ADHD, and ASD. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment. Ability to build trust and engage a learner who has a strong aversion to formal education. Open to working within the local community (library/home) to support gradual reintegration into education.
