Resettlement Caseworker
Location: Flintshire
Contract: 3 months, potential temp to perm
Hours: 20 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a Resettlement Caseworker to provide intensive support and advice to families relocating to the area.
THE ROLE
As a Resettlement Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing expert, holistic support to families resettling in Flintshire. You will work closely with a range of agencies and service providers to ensure positive outcomes for families and individuals who have arrived as refugees.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a caseload, offering comprehensive support and advice on social, mental, and financial wellbeing
2. Preparing for the arrival of new families and ensuring residence arrangements are in place
3. Assisting families with essential paperwork and applications for services
4. Providing referrals and acting as a liaison with relevant agencies
5. Supporting families in accessing translation services and other practical needs
6. Offering guidance to help families integrate into the local community
7. Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting as required
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable individuals and managing caseloads independently. You will have a strong knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector services.
Additional requirements:
8. Experience in providing benefits, housing, or debt advice to vulnerable individuals
9. Strong understanding of the UK benefits system and housing regulations
10. Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with external agencies
12. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
