We are seeking a positive and forward thinking person to join our busy administration team at our Sherborne practice.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and be comfortable working under pressure at times. A high customer service is required and ability to work as part of a team is essential. An understanding of the veterinary field and the farming industry would be beneficial although full training is provided.
The role will include:
* Answering phones and dealing with general enquiries, booking appointments and taking medication orders.
* Scheduling of work rotas
* Organising and completing herd/flock health plans
* Producing reports, such as antibiotic collations
* Stock take of medicines
* Lab work to include blood sample analysis and worm egg counting
* Liaising with veterinary students and universities regarding work placements
* TB testing administration
* Maintenance of farm veterinary equipment, and fleet of work vehicles
* Social media
* Processing emails
* Farm invoicing

Shift pattern
This is a part time role, working 28 hours per week (weekdays), plus a Saturday morning on a rota basis.
