Role and Responsibilities: As an Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager and support the smooth running of the construction site. Your key responsibilities will include: Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all workers and visitors. Site Operations: Assist the Site Manager in coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including managing subcontractors, scheduling deliveries, and monitoring progress. Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly to ensure the build meets or exceeds the company's and industry's standards. Team Management: Support and guide the site team, including tradespeople and laborers, fostering teamwork, and motivating the workforce to achieve project milestones. Communication: Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and other team members. Documentation : Maintain accurate site records, reports, and paperwork, assisting with project documentation and compliance. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process to minimise delays and keep the project on track. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in new build residential projects. Strong knowledge of construction practices, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively. Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or related fields are essential SMSTS CSCS and an HNC or equivalent.
