We’re looking for our next experienced UX/UI Designer to join our Product Team. Reporting to the VP, Product, you’ll be growing and evolving the abilities of the UX/UI team to deliver world-class user experiences.
Here's an example of a day in the life as a UX/UI Designer:
* You lead a call with users to discuss a piece of functionality that isn’t working the way they’d like.
* You conference with a UX/UI Designer colleague on a wireframe that they may be having difficulty with.
* You contribute on a call with end-users to discuss a new feature idea that the Product team is evaluating.
* You collaborate with a Product Manager to offer a usability perspective on a prototype.
* You provide feedback on a feature that has come back from development to ensure users will love it.
* You own and grow the user experience for a new feature that’s being evaluated.
* You work with the UX Researcher to gather information and discuss a new area of our users’ work-lives.
* You add to & modify the existing usability standards to include a new common user experience, such as a notification.
If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:
* I have knowledge of UX/UI, gained through 5+ years of experience in the world of SaaS products for a wide scope of stakeholders.
* I have experience building interfaces for both data-driven business stakeholders and usability-focused end-users. I know the difference between the two.
* I have created experiences on multiple form factors, including tablets, phones and laptops.
* I have proven experience using various tools to express my vision and collaborate, such as Figma, FigJam, Axure, Moqups, etc.
* I have experience balancing the needs of 10+ user types within a single software product.
* I have designed experiences for a wide range of user counts, from 10 to 10,000.
* I get most excited about learning new industries and can leverage user feedback to better define user tasks and business needs.
* I’m exceptional at balancing urgent tactical tasks with longer-scope medium- and low-priority strategic tasks.
* I can be flexible with my schedule, including occasional evenings or early mornings to collaborate with teams in different time zones.
* I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA.
* I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate.
* I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills.
* Bonus points if I have experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Institutional dietary and food service operations.
o Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) systems and/or EHR-integrated systems.
o Menu management systems for healthcare clients.
o Accounting systems and/or supply chains related to the foodservice industry.
o Inventory management systems and analysis methodologies, with an understanding of profitable procurement practices spanning labor cost, raw food cost, GPOs, rebate programs, and volume purchasing.
o Point of Sale (POS) systems and related application integrations such as online ordering, kitchen management systems, digital payments, mobile apps, bookkeeping platforms, and reporting.
