Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a talented team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Oxfordshire region. Due to growth and demand from our customers, we are in a position to expand our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with an experienced Traffic Engineer to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment in and around Oxfordshire.
Training isn’t in a classroom; it’s a healthy mix of ‘on the job’ learning, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and sector-based certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Who you are:
You should have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, with some exposure to electrical work—whether through outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications, radio equipment, or related college courses/diplomas.
Key Requirements:
* Motivation and willingness to learn on the job and online
* Previous experience in electrical testing, maintenance, fixing, or installing, or a relevant electrical diploma/certificate
* Ability to problem-solve and think creatively, following fault-finding instructions
* Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
* Willingness to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol test for compliance
