HRS are representing a global leader in the Biopharmaceutical sector with their search for an Associate Director, Business Development. The role reports into the Site VP and is predominantly remote based, reporting into the Kent HQ and travelling globally up to 60% of the time. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the business development initiatives to forge new biologics contract manufacturing partnerships worldwide, while also playing a crucial role in the business/site leadership team to drive the commercial strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Associate Director, Business Development will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Lead the development and execution of the Biopharmaceutical CDMO growth plan to meet annual sales targets.
2. Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline through strategic business development and marketing activities.
3. Oversee and expand the Business Development team, ensuring alignment with the companys growth objectives.
4. Engage with prospective customers and partners, enhancing brand recognition and fostering strong relationships in the market.
5. Directly responsible for one other Business Development Manager, and the growth of a larger Business Development Team in the long term.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this dynamic position as the Associate Director, Business Development, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree qualification in a Scientific or Business related discipline.
2. Extensive commercial experience within a BioPharma CMO/CDMO environment and a deep understanding of the industry.
3. A proven track record in securing significant contract manufacturing business and delivering successful projects.
4. Excellent negotiation skills and experience in managing contracts.
