JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pragmatic, hands-on Health and Safety professional to join a leading FM and Infrastructure Service Company, operating across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a Hard Services background. The successful applicant will be joining a motivated and experienced management team and will be tasked with monitoring and helping to implement the company’s Health and Safety strategy across the business. The person we are looking for will have drive, energy, and passion on top of Health and Safety experience.
The role involves a mix of site audit and inspection with time spent in our Hainault Head Office. Projects can be overnight, so a willingness to work flexibly is required, as is a full driving licence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work closely with the HSEQ Team to develop and deliver the Health & Safety strategy.
2. Build relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation and external interested parties.
3. Monitor and review health & safety trends to identify areas of improvement.
4. Develop and improve Health & Safety culture across the organisation by helping to lead health and safety cultural improvement initiatives.
5. Develop training needs and create programmes to deliver.
6. Manage 3rd party suppliers, building strong relationships.
7. Support incident and accident investigation when required and ensure lessons are learnt.
8. Contribute to achieving and maintaining various accreditations and certifications.
9. Support the Operational Team with RAMS preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. 1 year + experience working in Health & Safety.
2. Previous experience working within Health & Safety.
3. Experience working in Facilities Management, infrastructure sector, or Construction.
4. Knowledge of CDM would be beneficial but not essential.
5. Must have a driving licence.
6. Willing to travel where required.
7. Thorough understanding of CDM.
8. Solid IT skills in Microsoft Products / iAuditor.
9. Ability to implement culture change programs.
10. Must have gravitas to deal with internal and external stakeholders alike.
