Role: Accounts Receivable Assistant
Reporting to: Accounts Receivable Manager
Based: Hybrid +3 days a week at our HQ in Clapham Junction

What you need to know about the role: The primary objective of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate collection of all outstanding invoices, maintaining meticulous records of all transactions and customer interactions. You will play a crucial part in safeguarding the financial health of the company by efficiently resolving customer queries and disputes, contributing to a positive customer experience and smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate and send invoices to customers.
2. Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments.
3. Follow up on outstanding invoices via phone, email, or mail.
4. Process customer payments and post them to the appropriate accounts.
5. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
6. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
7. Prepare reports on accounts receivable activity.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
9. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
1. Proven experience in an accounts receivable role.
2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong organisational and time management skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer disputes.
