Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Consultant (fluent in Mandarin) to join our team. This role is pivotal in connecting with Mandarin-speaking students and parents, providing comprehensive guidance about our institution, courses, faculty, and enrollment process. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient demeanor, and the ability to build strong relationships with prospective students and families. Flexibility in working hours and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Additionally, for every student successfully enrolled, the consultant will receive a £200 bonus.
Responsibilities:
1. Student and Parent Engagement: Greet and assist prospective students and parents in a professional and friendly manner, both in-person and online. Communicate effectively in Mandarin to explain our institution’s values, course offerings, and teaching resources.
2. Consultation and Sales: Provide detailed information about course subjects, schedules, teaching faculty, and program guarantees. Discuss payment options, including installment plans, and explain contract terms and commitments clearly. Guide students through the enrollment process and handle any related inquiries.
3. Trial Class Arrangement: Coordinate and schedule trial classes for prospective students. Ensure students have a smooth experience during trial sessions, gathering feedback to improve processes.
4. Event Support: Assist in planning and executing school events, such as open houses, workshops, and lectures. Act as a point of contact during events, ensuring smooth communication and logistics.
5. Office Duties: Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, consultations, and enrollments. Support administrative tasks related to admissions and sales, including data entry and contract preparation.
6. Flexibility and Availability: Work Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 7 PM, with occasional adjustments based on operational needs. Be available for weekend work during peak times and remain adaptable to changes in scheduling. Utilize downtime efficiently, supporting other tasks or working remotely when appropriate.
Requirements:
1. Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written); English proficiency is a plus.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build trust with students and parents.
3. Customer Service: Patient, empathetic, and capable of addressing diverse inquiries in a professional manner.
4. Sales and Negotiation: Experience in sales or customer-facing roles is preferred; ability to explain complex information clearly and persuasively.
5. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail; ability to manage schedules, events, and records efficiently.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing work hours and tasks as needed.
7. Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with using office software and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM systems, Zoom).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in education or course sales is a significant advantage.
2. Familiarity with the needs of Mandarin-speaking international students is a plus.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a results-driven mindset.
