We are recruiting a full-time learning support assistant. Experience of working with children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs and/or autism would be desirable. You will be based within a single class group, working alongside a teacher and another LSA to help the pupils achieve their full potential.
The role could involve working across the age range from Y3 to Y11.
Pupils can at times present with challenging behaviour, so the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident team player who is able to demonstrate previous success in working with children and young people. The successful candidate will be able to evidence their own initiative to support successful learning, helping our pupils to overcome their barriers to learning. You should also have strong behaviour management skills balanced with a calm and caring manner.
Regular training is provided to support staff in developing their skills.
Applicants should have a GCSE in English and Maths with grade C or equivalent.
St Anthony's School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Please note the post is subject to an enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
