Job type: Permanent, full-time JOB PURPOSE: Our in-house Marketing team is looking for an experienced Marketing and Events Executive to join us in assisting the Head of Marketing to support the development and implementation of the firm’s marketing strategies to raise the firm’s profile and reputation within its main sectors. This role encompasses all aspects of the marketing mix to support the firm’s corporate identity and demonstrate the firm’s values in key marketing messages. You would: Advise partners generally on all aspects of marketing the firm and assisting with developing effective marketing strategies, reviewing success and identifying areas of improvement. Advise teams on targeting new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients to increase instructions and actively encourage internal referrals. Work closely with other members of the marketing team in relation to the production of the literature and creating effective PR and communication strategies to fit in with the firm’s marketing strategies both on and off line. Carry out competitor research and client satisfaction reviews, reporting findings to the Head of Marketing to assist with the creation of effective marketing campaigns to set the firm apart from its competition. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Event Management Complete event management of a broad range of events including seminars, workshops, drinks receptions, corporate hospitality and exhibitions from concept and initial brief through to on the day management, breakdown and analysis. Ensure excellent communication between fee earning teams and support teams to ensure strict deadlines are adhered to. Use firm’s marketing database to create effective mailing lists for events and to record delegate attendance. Promote the use of this system with both partners and support staff. Source appropriate venues, negotiate costs, liaise with the venue staff for all events requirements including catering and AV equipment where necessary. Oversee the production of promotional material in relation to events including invitations, branded literature, promotional items etc. Advise fee earning teams on effective post-event follow ups with clients and target clients, ensuring actions are carried out in a timely fashion. Ensure all events are delivered to the highest possible standard and within budget. Digital PPC – develop and manage PPC campaigns on behalf of the business including set-up, analysis, review and reporting Social media – develop appropriate social media posts to promote events including webinars, seminars etc. and support across the team as and when required. Website – ensure systematic updating of sections across the website to ensure SEO optimisation and manage the events section. Intranet – update events and marketing areas of the intranet as part of the team SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: Good standard of general education, specifically, English Language and Maths. High standard of knowledge of computer packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Analytics. Previous Legal experience would desirable, but not essential. Professional and credible, with the ability to act with tact and discretion and to maintain confidentiality are essential. Excellent time management and customer service skills. Analytical thinking.
