An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Brighton Metropolitan College as a Lecturer within our vibrant ESOL department.
We are recruiting for an ESOL lecturer to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to our ESOL cohorts across our Brighton Campuses. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality ESOL lessons to our learners and will understand the needs and challenges our students face.
You will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs for a range of age groups including our 16-19 provision and part-time adult courses. You will work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the curriculum area and will ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
Minimum Requirements:
* CELTA, TESOL certificate
* Level 2 literacy and numeracy
* Teaching and assessing of ESOL learners
* Curriculum delivery and associated administration
* Managing diverse groups of students
* Microsoft Office / Google applications
* An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
