The busy and dynamic team is responsible for the delivery of renewable energy or other commercial projects on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate. You will join a project team responsible for managing the interface between the development/construction of high-profile renewable energy projects and NRWs land stewardship responsibilities. You will provide project management support to Project Managers on large complex projects and project manage directly smaller, lower risk projects under the supervision of Project Managers. You will use Programme Management Office Workbooks and manage renewable energy project datasets. The role will need to work collaboratively with other Directorates, follow internal governance procedures, embedding SMNR and Wellbeing outcomes in energy project deliverables. The role involves technical desk and site-based work on the WGWE in South & Mid Wales ensuring developers have considered the risks to people and environment and have planned the work, safety controls and working methods to ensure works are carried out in a safe, environmentally sustainable and legally compliant manner. This role supports project and contract management spanning a range of technical disciplines including land management, forestry, environmental and engineering. A strong candidate will have relevant training, skills, experience and knowledge in one or more of these technical disciplines and experience of large scale renewable projects is desirable.
