Business Support Officer (Technology Enabled Care Service)
We are currently looking for a Business Support Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: assisting in providing a business support service to the Assistive Technology Service.
Main duties of the post:
1. To receive and assist visitors.
2. Assist in answering routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
3. Liaising with other members of staff and the public.
Administration:
1. Assist in the provision of routine clerical support including photocopying, filing, e-mailing, completing routine forms, and telephony duties.
2. Assist in the maintenance of manual and computerised records/management information systems and process information in accordance with defined procedures and standards.
3. Where directed, undertake typing, word processing, data entry, and other IT-based tasks.
4. Assist in the sorting and distribution of mail.
5. Undertake routine administration in support of the functions of the PEI Department.
You will have experience in/of:
You must have the ability to type, work as part of a team, and have a flexible and committed approach to assist in providing clerical & administrative support. An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, and members of the public is essential. You must also be prepared to undertake in-house or external training/qualifications in regards to the role.
Ideally, you will have:
Applicants will need a reasonable standard of education to GCSE (or equivalent) grades C and above.
The successful applicant will be expected to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration if you do not hold one already.
Access to suitable transport i.e. driving licence/access to a suitable vehicle is essential.
