Residential Block Management Surveyor
The Company
Stock Page Stock are one of the longest established Surveyors and Property Managers in the City of London, situated in Clerkenwell. We specialise in residential block management and our management portfolio includes blocks situated throughout the whole of the M25 area. The mixed portfolio currently consists of 69 blocks of 957 units.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced building surveyor who can work in partnership with both the senior property manager and the service charge accountant to provide a professional standard of technical care and advice to our clients and to ensure that schedules are attained.
Key Responsibilities
1. Keep Capex Plans up to date and advise Residents’ Associations or Freeholders of schedules for major works and estimated costs.
2. Write schedules of major works.
3. Attend to Section 20 Notices and go through the tendering process.
4. Supervise major works and sign off works for payment.
5. Help with the preparation of annual service charge budgets.
6. Attend properties and ascertain and progress any special works where required.
7. Attend Residents’ Association meetings to advise on major works when required.
About You
1. Chartered Status is preferable - ARICS/MRICS. Advanced knowledge and practical experience of Building Surveying, ideally in Residential Block Management.
2. Experienced in project management, tender preparation, and the Section 20 process.
3. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and present findings to the directors of Residents’ Associations.
4. Proactive in analysing and resolving residential issues.
5. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
6. A broad spectrum of experience in block management.
