What is this role exactly? We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time caretaker to join the team at South Manchester University Hospital in Wythenshawe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience of building maintenance services. What will my working week look like? This role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will also need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed What will I be responsible for doing? You will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of communal areas, offices and external grounds e.g.: changing lights and tap washers, grouting, sealing around baths, cleaning of communal stairwells and painting. You will work alongside the Accommodation Officer to ensure properties are ready for occupation as well as undertaking property inspections. You will also be responsible for the cleaning of the accommodation office and the communal stairwells as well as providing office cover when required. And what would make me stand out from the crowd? The successful candidate must be competent at undertaking low level repairs, have excellent relationship management skills, be highly motivated and able to work alone. Undertake property void maintenance work. Undertake decoration and maintenance works of individual properties.
