Job Description In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for addressing system concerns and ensuring the smooth functionality of all financial workflows. You will act as a critical bridge between the Financials Lead and the rest of the business, translating technical issues into actionable solutions while keeping stakeholders informed and supported. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Issue Ownership: Take full responsibility for managing, tracking, and resolving end-user issues within the Workday Financials platform, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions. 2. Communication Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between the Financials Lead and business users, translating technical solutions into business terms and vice versa. 3. Comprehensive Support: Provide support across all Workday Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Reporting. 4. Proactive Troubleshooting: Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes while minimizing business disruption. Escalate complex problems to the Financials Lead or technical teams as necessary. 5. Enhancement Coordination: Work closely with the Financials Lead and business teams to identify opportunities for system optimization and assist in implementing process improvements. 6. Third-party system: Manage and maintain the relationships between the finance system and other third-party systems that rely on data transfer. Liaising with the relevant parties to ensure all runs as expected. 7. Reporting: Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting tasks when required by the business. 8. Training and Guidance: Provide ongoing training, guidance, and best-practice recommendations to end-users to maximize the effective use of Workday Financials. 9. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of issues, resolutions, and configuration changes for transparency and future reference. 10. Compliance and Controls: Ensure all system activities adhere to financial regulations, internal controls, and organizational policies. PERSON SPECIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related Workday certification in Financials. Strong knowledge of financial processes and workflows – Procure to pay, Record to report etc. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Workday Financials experience. Implemented configuration changes across all Business Processes in Workday Demonstrated ability to manage end-user issues effectively and act as a bridge between technical and business teams. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
