We are seeking a talented Senior External Relations Associate to help us tell our story with a clear and compelling narrative across multiple platforms. They will lead MedAccess’s digital communications, managing our website and optimising our social media channels. This role is for a duration of up to 12 months.
The Senior External Relations Associate will work with the Head of External Relations on the development and execution of External Relations strategies, taking responsibility for digital communications elements. They will also generate high-quality content for MedAccess channels, positioning the organisation as a trusted voice on social finance for global health.
MedAccess is a lean organisation. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and be comfortable taking responsibility for all elements of the role, from strategy and planning to relationship management and content creation.
Core responsibilities include:
1. Work with the Head of External Relations to evolve and execute digital elements of MedAccess’ External Relations strategy, in line with the MedAccess brand.
2. Engage with interested colleagues from across the organisation to build confidence in promoting MedAccess and its work through their channels.
3. Stay up-to-date with emerging digital communications trends and issues, ensuring MedAccess’ digital presence is aligned with best practice.
4. Website management
5. Manage all aspects of MedAccess website, including content management, compliance and SEO optimisation.
6. Generate and publish engaging website content to increase understanding of MedAccess, its mission and how it works with partners to achieve impact.
7. Analyse multiple data sources to ensure the MedAccess website offers the best possible user experience and journey.
8. Manage MedAccess’ social media accounts, optimising use of existing platforms and making recommendations for the use of new channels as appropriate.
9. Create and execute social media campaigns around announcements, key events and global health issues.
10. Engage with peers at similar organisations to build a network of amplifiers for MedAccess and partners’ social media content.
11. Support colleagues to engage consistently with social media.
12. Create engaging written and visual content aligned with MedAccess’ business goals for use across MedAccess and partners’ channels and platforms.
13. Lead on the development of impact stories highlighting how MedAccess’ guarantees improve healthcare markets and increase access to health products.
14. Work with internal experts to generate insight articles for publication on the MedAccess website and on partners’ platforms.
15. Curate MedAccess’ content library for use by colleagues during external engagements.
16. Support the development and promotion of key publications including MedAccess’ Annual Review and Impact Case Studies.
