Role Profile
Due to planned retirement in the coming May, Online Lubricants are looking to recruit a Head of Finance to support the wider management team in developing and growing the business further. The position can be based around full time hours or flexible part time, based in our busy Head Office in Barking. A full handover period will be in place.
The position sits within a management team of 6 covering all areas of the business and would be required to play an active part in the business, managing a team and collaborating with the management team and attend monthly management meetings.
Duties include:
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Finance and Procurement Team and their direct managers.
* Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly and Annual financial reports in regular Management Team meetings and take an active part in discussions and decision making.
* Keep up to date with regulatory changes to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Ensure statutory returns are completed on time.
* Assess contracts and negotiate renewals.
* Liaise with external accountant to provide year end reports and files.
* Administer payroll function – possible contract out/inhouse.
* Manage cashflow and process supplier payments.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to aid and increase efficiency.
* Identify possible areas of cost savings and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of MAAT with five years’ post membership experience. ACA, ACCA or CIMA equivalent desirable.
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in a Finance Management role.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Ability to problem solve and use analytical skills.
* Proficient in the use of computerised systems, including Microsoft, with an advanced ability in Excel.
