About the Role

A crucial role in managing the integrity of our finance data, systems, and controls. The role is pivotal to the relationship with all of Finance as it will be accountable for the delivery of the trial balance and related outputs that will be the basis for all internal and external reporting of Quilter’s financial results. This role will report to the Group Finance Director and will be part of the Senior Leadership team in Group Finance. The Head of Finance Operations will be responsible for a team of circa twenty people.
This role is made up of three core components:
* Financial Ledger Integrity and Control: This role will be responsible for all automated and manual processes that feed into the general ledger for the creation of the trial balance, to include the full P&L impact of integration processes. Additionally, accountable for all reconciliations to ensure compliance with relevant requirements, good governance and providing a full understanding of the balance sheet position for the Financial Controllers.
* Systems and Data: Accountable for the integrity and data of the primary finance application (Workday) and related integrations. This role will have end-to-end responsibility for creating, maintaining, and standardising processes and procedures which will be fully documented. To manage a small systems-focused team and consult with and manage the relationship with the Technology teams to ensure system stability, evaluate updates and implement change to finance applications (Workday) and related integrations.
* Accounts Payable & Receivable: Working with the AP/AR manager you will be responsible for the processing and payments of invoices, supplier management working with the Procurement function and reporting both internally and externally. Alongside the payable’s elements, you will also be responsible for the growing receivables processes primarily related to billing and invoicing and associated inputs to calculate invoices across the Group.
The Head of Finance Operations role will also play a key part in the delivery of the Group strategy and the development of the team to enable succession planning and development paths for the future.
