There is a varied range of Gynaecology clinics running - hysteroscopies and other minor treatments, Colposcopy clinics; run by the specialist nurse or doctors, general gynaecology clinics, urogynaecology/pessary clinics; as a nurse led service, post menopausal bleed clinics; run by one of our specialist nurses or doctors. and gynaecology oncology service. You will need to adapt to the many varying clinics within the department. You will need to enjoy working within an evolving service. There will be an expectation that you will be prepared to support learners within the department. Working as part of a multidisciplinary, professional team to assess care needs, and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and possess excellent communication skills. The unit is fast paced at times and may require long periods of standing. It will also require manual handling of patients and equipment. Main duties of the job To assist the OPD Manager in the efficient running of gynaecology outpatient clinics.
