Graduate Submarines Stealth Engineer

What you will be doing
As an Engineering Graduate, you could be completing work in a variety of specialist teams in the department who work across Testing, Computational Modelling, System Design, and Research & Technology, all within the field of Stealth Engineering. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in all stages of the Submarine’s lifecycle, from concept design through to activities with the in-service fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct large scale Noise and Vibration trials during major commissioning activities.
* Developmental testing and analysis in test cells to develop signature management features and support Signatures modelling activity, including the design of appropriate test rigs.
* Support research projects completed within the department and with partner universities and Stealth improvement activities on the In-Service fleet.
* Completion of computation models to support design decisions and instigate issues.
* Specialist packages to investigate airborne noise and radar cross section.
* Utilise information from computational models to determine requirements for all submarine systems currently in the Design stage.
Minimum Requirements
You’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Maths, or other similar STEM degree.
