PROJECT MANAGER - Tier 1 Contractor - Chester Area.
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a Tier 1 Contractor's delivery team on a large Solar Farm installation.
The candidate will ideally be based in the Chester area and will be required to travel to a large site close by. The contract is due to last approximately 9 months.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assuming responsibility for the management of project delivery outputs including programme, financial position, health safety, environmental performance and progress for all allocated schemes.
2. The ability to interact in a professional manner with senior representatives of our clients.
3. To have a good understanding of NEC contract conditions and an astute commercial awareness.
4. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the project to ensure the successful delivery against KPI's and PI's.
5. Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, including CDM regulations, & Environmental legislation.
6. Review/assessment of in-house/subcontractor RAMS, Process Impact Assessments and Environmental legislation.
7. To ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental and quality systems.
8. Liaise with client's staff to ensure KPI's are met or exceeded within budget constraints.
9. To manage the project team ensuring that each member has a clear set of objectives.
10. To produce project performance reports and participate in monthly financial/programme reviews for all schemes with the Commercial Manager, Framework Manager and Regional Director.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant subject matter.
2. H&S qualifications (desirable).
3. IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS).
4. CSCS card.
5. Strong team player but also able to work as an individual.
6. Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face).
