We have an exciting new role for a Children’s Social Worker is required to join Solihull’s Safeguarding Service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.
What will your responsibilities be?
The role involves being on duty for one week in five, handling Section 47 enquiries and Section 17 assessments, and ensuring assessments and interventions are completed within statutory timescales to a high standard. You will work in the office during duty weeks, focusing on the voice of the child and strong analysis. The position offers a manageable workload, with current caseloads around 12 families, and flexible work-from-home arrangements outside of duty days. The role involves completing Child in Need and Child Protection work, conducting Risk Assessments, and creating Child in Need Plans. It also requires completing Child and Family Assessments and having experience working with Section 47 enquiries.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be eligible for this role, you must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess post-qualified experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
