Veolia is looking for a Maintenance Operations Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Chilton. In this role, you will get involved in maintaining and troubleshooting plant equipment, conducting performance testing, operating steam generation systems, and responding to operational issues.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* To assist the team and work on mechanical and electrical systems
* To assist the team and carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including conveyors, low voltage equipment, pumps, motors, gearbox, mechanical drives, material handling equipment, blowers & ducting, plant auxiliaries, hydraulics, pneumatics and optical sorting equipment
* Carry out health and safety tasks and Inspect work areas and equipment for deficiencies, hazards, and malfunctions and report all discrepancies and unsafe acts or working conditions to the Maintenance Manager
* Working together to investigate and resolve any hazards in the workshop. This also includes the identification and ordering of spare parts for repairs and modifications
* Work on PPM scheduled work and non scheduled work
* Maintain equipment documentation using CMMS and plan service regiments
* Work to high health and safety standards
