We are hiring for Community Occupational Therapists Band 6 for Stafford/Lichfield/Burton/Tamworth/Newcastle U Lyme Locations.
Job Purpose / Main Duties / Responsibilities
1. Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role.
2. Put people at the heart of what we do, empowering people to improve care and wellbeing, delivering better health, and better care in partnership.
3. Be a Specialist Occupational Therapist with detailed professional and clinical knowledge, focusing on one of the following areas: Rehabilitation, Integrated Community, Community Intervention, and Reablement.
4. Be responsible for a defined population of service users in various settings across the Partnership Trust, including the community and hospitals.
5. Be skilled in the assessment of complex/specialist care/support needs and in the development, implementation, and evaluation of care/support packages.
6. Have supervisory, training, and leadership responsibilities where appropriate and some responsibility for team performance and service developments/improvements.
7. Demonstrate initiative and creativity in finding solutions to problems.
8. Work with the team leader undertaking delegated tasks in team management.
Qualifications
1. Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
2. Registration with HCPC.
3. Fieldwork educator’s accreditation.
4. Post qualification courses in working with older people and people with physical disabilities.
5. Attendance at relevant clinical networks or Special Interest Groups.
6. Up to date fieldwork/pre-registration student training.
Work Experience
1. Relevant experience to the role, including assessment and interventions for a wide range of disabilities.
2. Ability to manage time and caseload effectively.
3. Supporting service users.
4. Car drivers only.
5. Min 6 months NHS experience mandatory.
