Randstad Student Support is seeking caring and dedicated Specialist Autism Mentors with a wealth of experience in working with people with autism spectrum disorder to support students in Glasgow. In this meaningful role, you'll provide one-to-one guidance, helping students overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential. Your support will be key to empowering them to excel and thrive in their academic journey.
Randstad specialist autism mentor role starts at the start of the new academic year starting from the 1st September 2024.
Within this role, you will be a trusted advisor for students throughout their academic year by helping them to reflect on their experience and build confidence through their time at University
Throughout your role you will be 1-2-1 mentoring your given students and helping them with what is required of them in their academic year. This will include:
Listening to your students and getting them through their stress, low mood and anxiety levels.
Giving them the confidence to learn independently
Develop skills that includes organisational skills and time management
Give them new experienced opportunities that will develop them for future roles.
